Learn from a distinguished faculty in shoulder, elbow and orthopaedic surgery, gathered in one of the most remarkable classrooms on Earth.
Dr. Williams is the John M. Fenlin, Jr Professor of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and a member of the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Rothman Institute, where his practice is limited to shoulder disorders with extensive experience in shoulder replacement. He is co-Chief of Musculoskeletal Medicine at Main Line Health System and serves on the AAOS Strategic Planning Committee and the Rothman Institute Board of Directors.
A past president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, he trained at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and practised for 16 years at the University of Pennsylvania before joining the Rothman Institute in 2007. He has served as faculty at over 250 educational meetings, authored roughly 200 scientific articles and 45 reviews or book chapters, co-edited four textbooks on shoulder surgery, and is named on some 15 arthroplasty patents.
Dr. Edwards specialises in disorders of the shoulder, treated with both open and arthroscopic surgery. He earned his medical doctorate from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and completed his orthopaedic residency at LSU. He went on to a shoulder surgery and sports medicine fellowship in Lyon, France with Dr. Gilles Walch, serving as the Clinical Orthopedic Society Traveling Fellow, and was Chief Shoulder Surgeon and Director of Research at the Minneapolis Sports Medicine Center before moving to Houston.
Highly active in clinical and scientific research, he has published more than 100 scientific articles and ten book chapters, authored textbooks on shoulder replacement and shoulder arthroscopy, and delivered over 100 presentations at national and international meetings. He holds academic appointments at the University of Texas at Houston and Baylor University, serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Culinary Journey
At the end of the world, dinner is an event. Scenic Eclipse is the only ship at sea offering an à la carte spectrum of this breadth: up to ten distinct dining experiences, with menus that change every day, from teppanyaki theatre and hand-rolled sushi to a candlelit French degustation.
Every one of them is included. So are the premium beverages across up to nine bars and lounges, where the cocktail list is treated with the same seriousness as the kitchen, with each drink built, garnished and presented as carefully as any plate.

What is included in my package?
Your hotel in Buenos Aires, return charter flight between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, the full Antarctic voyage, all expedition excursions, all meals, alcoholic beverages (top-shelf options billed individually aboard), and on-board Wi-Fi. Suite upgrades are available on request.
How does the registration and payment plan work?
A US$275 registration fee secures your place on the list. A 30% deposit then secures your cabin at time of booking, and the remaining balance can be paid in full or spread across a flexible payment plan, with full payment due 10 months prior to departure. Payment by bank transfer or credit card.
Can I bring a partner or family?
Absolutely, family and partners are warmly welcome. When registering, add "+1" (or the appropriate number) after your last name, for example "Jones +3", so we can reserve the right number of places.
What about single travellers?
Suite prices are shown per person based on double occupancy. Single travellers are also very welcome, so please contact us and we'll be glad to provide single-occupancy pricing.
What is your cancellation and transfer policy?
Cancel more than 180 days before departure and payments are refundable minus a US$1,250 administrative fee per person. Between 179 and 120 days, the deposit is forfeited. Within 120 days, all payments are non-refundable. You may transfer your booking to another person at any time for a US$1,250 fee. All requests must be in writing.
